Get ready to bring the heat — the Shamrock Smash is coming this spring, on March 14–15, 2026.
Teams from across the region will converge for an action-packed AAU volleyball showdown designed for ages 10–18.
This is your chance to compete in a high-energy, well-run tournament that delivers great competition, a fun atmosphere, and an unforgettable early-spring volleyball weekend.

3rd Annual Twilight Smash
March 28-29, 2026
Gering, NE
Four Age Divisions – (’25/26 School Year)
- 3/4 Grade
- 5/6 Grade
- 7/8 Grade
- High School
Location: – Gering High School – 1500 U St. Gering, NE 69341
- Games will start promptly at 4:00PM, with the last games beginning at 11:15PM Saturday night.
- Games will resume play at 9:00AM Saturday morning.
- Each age division will have a Gold and Silver Bracket
Pool Play
- Each pool play match will be 2-sets to 25 Points, win by 2.
- Home Team will have the Court for the first 3 minute warm-up, followed by Visiting Team for 3 minutes, then a joint 3-minute serving session.
- Rock, Paper, Scissors determines 1st Serve
- 5/6 Grade Serve Line – Will be marked a couple of feet from the boundary.
Bracket Play
- Bracket matches will be played to 3 sets (Best of 3).
- 3rd set, if necessary, will be played to 15 points, win by 2.
- Referee’s are provided, however we ask each team supply a line judge.

Competitive Travel Program
hese teams offer a higher level of play and competition. Practices are more intense, and teams compete in more tournaments throughout the season, sometimes traveling regionally, as detailed in the section below.
